“Beyond the Hype; Growing a Metal AM Industry”
Additive Manufacturing in metals is not new, however, it is still in the early stages of adoption by industry. As a commercial service bureau we have seen a shift in the way the technology has been viewed, initially fueled by hype creating false hopes, the industry has settled into a realism that is working. The next step is to grow the application of the technology. This presentation will look at the key drivers required to build the industry to one of scale based on our experiences in New Zealand and Australia.
Warwick has been involved in metal 3D printing since 2008 when the first machine was brought into NZ. At the time, it was one of the few commercial machines running Titanium globally.
