What are SpeedMeets?
SpeedMeet offers you the opportunity to meet with potential employees’ in a speed-meeting style with seven-minute mini-interviews. Competenz and MIT have teamed up to bring this event to EMEX 2018. It’s free to get involved.
Competenz organises for local schools to attend with interested and engaged pupils who are ready and willing to discover engineering and manufacturing as a career pathway. MIT will bring along their pre-trades training students who are ready to take the next step in their career. All you have to do is turn up ready to meet keen young people who are looking for a job and a career – we’ll do the rest.
If you have jobs available for school leavers or other young people starting out in the workforce, then being at SpeedMeet is a no-brainer. Register now and we’ll be in touch with all the details.
How does it work?
We take care of the SpeedMeet interview arrangements. We provide both you and the jobseekers (students) with a ‘match’ form. On here you will fill out each other’s names. At the end of each interview, employers decide whether you’re keen to take the discussion further, and they decide whether they want to find out more about you. If it's a match, then we put you in touch.
There’s no cost to attend the SpeedMeets.
There will be two SpeedMeet sessions;
Tuesday 1st May: 1 - 4 pm
Wednesday 2nd May: 1 - 4 pm
Please choose the day you would like to attend when registering.
You are welcome to bring along 1 x pull-banner representing your company and any collateral you may want to give out to the students.
If you have any questions at all, please email Lizzie O’Halloran.
