Watercare Central Interceptor
The Central Interceptor (CI) tunnel is a super-sized tunnel that runs from under central Auckland and the Manukau Harbour to Māngere Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The CI is built to supply services to new housing developments in the area and prevent wastewater overflows into waterways. Come & learn about the Central Interceptor project through an immersive theatre ride, interactive games and map and a VR experience at the Discovery Centre– A fun way to learn about how we’re improving Auckland’s wastewater system.
